The Flashback series continues!

Flashback is back in a setting that will give you chills! 

We are delighted to annonce the release of the 2nd installment of the Flashback series, and its critically-acclaimed original game mechanic (As d'Or 2023). Gabriel Durnerin joins Marc-Antoine and Baptiste to develop this new story in a setting remeniscent of the best family-grade horror movies. After working on games such as Castle Adventure and Unlock, there was no question that this lover of stories and narrative universes would pass on the opportunity to create the story of Flashback: Lucy.


In Flashback : Lucy, you play a young girl with strange powers who inherits a mysterious mansion in which dark events have taken place. Explore this disturbing location and learn more about Lucy, her power, her family, and her role in this great story.
With the Flashback mechanism, travel to the past through Lucy's visions and encounter the shadow that haunts the mansion. Put yourself in the shoes of the characters and discover their points of view, gather clues, puzzle out mysteries, and answer the questions asked of you.

Before and after each of Lucy's visions, explore the mansion with her cat, Greebo, in an interactive comic strip. And of course, discover gadgets even more original and immersive than ever!

Manuel Sanchez, studio head of Scorpion Masqué, gives us a sneak peek behind the curtain: “Flashback is a unique, super simple mechanism that allows you to visit many different universes; we knew right from the start that we wanted to make it happen. Flashback: Lucy leaves behind the world of Zombie Kidz and takes us into a scary story. In addition to Gabriel’s original story, whose agreement to join us on this project pleased us to no end, we have added a whole new way to discover the mysteries of the game: An interactive comic strip created with the master strokes of our trio of illustrators.”

Gabriel Durnerin, designer, adds: “To develop the story of Flashback: Lucy, I was proud to take inspiration from Goosebumps, Coraline, Tim Burton, the Hammer films... and even Buffy! The 4 scenarios take place in the same place but in 4 different eras. Placed end to end, they will allow you to understand an overarching mystery... But which one? "
Flashback: Lucy is a game by Gabriel Durnerin, Baptiste Derrez, and Marc-Antoine Doyon, illustrated by Laure de Châteaubourg (environments), Jennifer Mati (environments), Jiahui Eva Gao (characters) and published by Scorpion Masqué.

Flashback: Lucy is the 2nd installment of the Flashback series. The first installment, Flashback: Zombie Kidz, won the 2023 As d'Or in the Children’s Game category.


It will be available in stores from March 27th at a price of $24,99 USD and can be played by 1 to 4 players, from 8 years old and up. A game lasts approximately 40 minutes.
